The essence of his character – a bias towards leadership and punctuality – held him in good stead during his college years at Penn State University. After graduating in May 2013 with a degree in Criminal Justice, he spent much of his college life reporting for the student newspaper, The Daily Collegian. During this period, he was also a valued member of the Penn State boxing team, showcasing his leadership skills on both the writing desk and the boxing ring.

Alongside his academic pursuits, he ventured overseas for a study program in Amsterdam, where he experienced many cultures and perspectives, ultimately broadening his global and technological outlook.

Stepping into the Professional World

After graduation, Nick exhibited his relentless zeal for learning and growth by completing the Information Technology Leadership Development Program at Johnson & Johnson. This feat marked the successful start of his journey into the technology field and displayed his knack for punctuality and rigorous regimen.

His professional journey took him to Pittsburgh and later Philadelphia, where he began consulting on digital marketing for the healthcare and life sciences industry. For over eight years, he has been a driving force in his field, leveraging his qualities of leadership and punctuality into successful initiatives.

Despite not having a formal background in computer science, Nick Manella was accepted into a master’s program for the same at Tufts University. In his characteristic style, he maintains his punctual and systematic approach to graduate studies while balancing his responsibilities as a Technology Strategist.

In his illustrious career, he has reached several milestones. He directly supported the commercialization of over six different pharmaceutical drugs and launched an artificial intelligence/machine learning offering for pharmaceutical commercialization; both stand as a testament to his enterprising spirit and strategic planning. His punctuality and efficiency have also driven impressive revenue results, generating over $250,000 during his first month as a Technology Strategist.

Personal Life and Interests

Residing in New Hope, PA, he is dedicated to several activities beyond his professional realm. He is passionate about physical fitness, with hobbies like weightlifting and backpacking. He is also a nurturing pet parent, caring for his lovely poodle, Coco. His hobbies include playing guitar, reading, writing, learning to play chess and cooking.

He has rendered valuable service to Farmette Animal Rescue and regularly donates to causes like Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Tabby’s Place Cat Sanctuary, and The Donkey Sanctuary. He is also an active supporter of environmental causes and organizations, such as Grist and Hawaii Community Foundation, reflecting his deep-rooted concern for the environment and climate change.

Nicholas Manella
